On a move with several destinations, labelling makes or breaks the day. Here’s what works.
- Use a colour or code for each destination. For example, green for the new home, blue for storage and red for a family member’s house.
- Label furniture too, not just boxes. A sticker on each piece of furniture tells the crew where it’s going.
- Make a simple list. Write down the main items for each destination. Give us a copy and keep one yourself.
- Keep “don’t move” items separate. Anything staying behind, such as items for the new owners or the landlord, should be in one room and clearly marked.
